Jazz Waltz This short piece originally started life as a duet for Clarinet and Guitar and has been played in concert and recorded on CD in this format for some years. I decided to arrange it for solo guitar and retained the original key of F major (a common key for jazz standards). The typical syncopations and lilting rhythm are reminiscent of waltzes of the Swing period of the 1930’s. In order to impart that jazzy feel, were practicable, it is recommended to place accents on the third quaver in triplet note groups. Enjoy! Mark Houghton, May 2018.
